Video for Gerd

Today, there was a ceremony in Aalborg where Gerd Behrmann - a colleague in Denmark - received a prize for his research. To send him our greetings from Uppsala, Wang and I recorded a short video speech that was shown as part of the ceremony (to see the video, follow the link in the title of this post). Leo did a wonderful job producing the video.

Best in Show

May 13 we saw the Swedish artist Magnus Uggla's show "Best in Show" at Hamburger börs in Stockholm. It was a good dinner and show, but all performed songs were quite new - Paul missed the older songs...

The Jaguar is back

Today we took our Jaguar out of its "cage"! Poor CR-V had no chance to catch up with it on the road. And what a wonderful feeling when Paul is driving! It is just like riding a roller-coaster!

Linköping

Went with Irisha and Gesha to Linköping (May 4). Had lunch with Brith and Göran immediately after arrival, then we went to Old Linköping and further to Alberga (summer house of Brith and Göran). On the way back to Linköping we saw a fox :-)
Back in Linköping we had a great dinner. On May 5 we had sightseeing in Linköping and did some shopping.

Skokloster

Today we went with Irisha and Gesha to Skokloster castle, which is a 55 km trip by car from Uppsala. From Knivsta Gesha drove the CR-V. When we arrived to Skokloster, we found the parking field crowded with old Italian cars (Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, etc). Obviously there was some kind of meeting. After a walk through the car exhibition and a hot dog, we went to the castle and took a guided tour. It was interesting - especially the unfinished ball room, and the three rooms filled with weapon collection from the 17th century. Most fascinating we found the fact that the whole castle has been so well preserved.
