Skating at Fjällnora

Today we went skating 12 km on lake Ramsen. We started out from Fjällnora. The weather was fantastic - very sunny and no wind.

Romme Alpin

Today we took a bus trip to Romme Alpin. It felt very nice to go downhill again. It was snowing, around -5 C, and some wind the whole day so it felt a bit cold. At 16, after six hours of skiing the bus took us back to Uppsala, and we were back home at 1900.

Kaknästornet

Today we went with Elena's partents to Stockholm. We visited Kaknästornet to see Stockholm from above and have coffee. Then we run through the National museum of Science and Technology in 1.5 hour. We spent most time in the Robotics exhibition and the Beloved Phone exhibition.

Linköping

Yesterday we were in Linköping with Elena's parents. We had a very nice dinner at Paul's parents place. Today we took Elena's parents to see Linköping. The thing they liked best was "grillad med en halva räk" på 43:ans gatukök i Tannefors (eng. a grilled with a half shrimp, i.e. a grilled hot dog with a half portion of shrimp sallad).

New Year 2006

Happy New Year! We celebrated at home with our parents and Krehlornas. It was one big mix of Swedish and Russian new years eve celebrations. We had a three course dinner with Gambas shrimps for starter and fillet of beef for main course; we also had father frost (looking like Snegurochka) with gifts to everyone; and we had champagne, fireworks, and cigars outside at midnight. Traditionally, at the first day of the new year we did not do much (visited only one museum ;-).
